Lilith remains totally immobile and unreactive, simply hanging limp on the cross it's nailed to and unresponsive to events around it. Lilith has five fingers on each hand (just like a human). Lilith is kept restrained in Terminal Dogma, crucified onto a giant red cross: large nails are driven through its palms into the cross from which it hangs. Lilith has no legs or hips when it is seen in the year 2015, its torso terminating in blobby masses with dozens of humanoid-sized pairs of legs growing out of them. My guess would be either a traveller like Null, Artemis or all the NPCs we have in the anomaly, or an anomaly like the player themselves.Lilith appears to be a vaguely-formed roughly Evangelion-sized humanoid upper torso with blubbery white flesh, of non-distinct gender. To me it seems like a human, given that they mention humanity. Tl dr: It's a being that is not one of the 3 usual races, it knows Nada and Polo, and it describes another species as "travellers". This could also be a 4th wall break, like they already did in Telamon's view of the lore in the boundary failures (see wiki page linked above). The closest are the anomalies (the starting character of the player). But there is no real "humanity" in the game. We have been ordered to shoot down any Vy'keen vessels on - kzzkzt - They have been deemed enemies of the Atlas, enemies of the Council, enemies of all humanity. The monolith you interact with in the second system after starting the game also calls you (the player, an anomaly) traveller. I guess that describes an anomaly rather than a traveller (just a guess, Artemis was a traveller and also had an exosuit) Reminder: There are these races: Korvax, Gek, Vy'keen, Atlas, Traveller, Anomaly. They ask many questions about our history, about the Atlas, and the visions of old. They do not appear interested in food or water, never leaving their so-called 'exosuits', even in habitable environments. The Traveller wished to dock without a ship. The normal races don't know about their existence, so my guess would be that this is a traveller speaking. We can therefore assume that the write knows them. It cannot be Nada or Polo, since they are mentioned separately in another entry from said list. What I don't understand, why can't it be a traveller? The - kzzzkt - is typical for their race. For example the boundary failure lore is from Telamon's view, who is a security subprotocol of the Atlas and also the voice of the exosuit. That being said, we also have stories told by others than the main races. Only the captain logs have the races (TRA, EXP, WAR, ALL = trade, experimental, war, everything = Gek, Korvax, Vy'keen, not assignable.) The text is in the translation key LOST_FREIGHTER_DESC_13. In conclusion, I believe that this lost species might be the Atlas' simulation of humanity, with the intended goal of the Atlas being to find out how long humanity will survive, based on probability, of course.Ī whole lot of nothing. This being's species already resembles humanity very closely, with the same kinds of family units that we have, as well as our history of war and hatred (See: all of human history.) We are so similar to the Vy'keen, and as I look at my child, I wonder. Our entire history is one of war and hatred. Only the family units of the Vy'keen resemble our own, small units of parents and a number of sibling children, raised as warriors. Now, let's take a look at what this individual says about their race: Let's remember, these are calculations based on probability, so in this instance, the Atlas is trying to simulate the most likely outcomes for sentient life. This shows that in most, if not all reality's end up with the Gek, Korvax, and Vy'keen being the last sentient races alive, meaning that all the others have died out. Recurrence of ‘Traveller’ prophecy throughout lifeform cultures. Proliferation of Gek-Korvax-Vy’keen across majority of known realities. Here's another quote, this time from the 6th boundary failure encounter Now, I am guessing here, but perhaps part of showing the nature of reality is to show how reality will treat humanity. It is to show the nature of reality by creating its own. The creator tells the ATLAS that it already knows. Now that that's established, let's take another look at the Atlas' directive We know this because of the anomaly we play as, due to its status as the most accurate depiction of the Atlas' creator, alongside its extremely human spacesuit. Think about it, the Atlas is a machine designed to simulate universes, and, was likely, a creation of Humans.
